CIMT was honored to welcome Dr. Premakumara Jagath Dickella Gamaralalage, Director of the Centre Collaborating with UNEP and Environmental Technologies (CCET) at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) on 11 November 2024. This courtesy visit renewed our valuable engagement with CCET IGES under the new CIMT leadership.

Discussions centered on exploring collaboration opportunities, especially focused on electronic waste (e-waste) management initiatives in Malaysia and Thailand. This partnership aims to expand IGES’s impactful work in the region, building on its assistance to Padang City, Indonesia, in developing an integrated solid waste management framework.
